Diwali also known as Dipavali, which is festival of lights. Although the present scenario in cities of modern India (@least in Mumbai) contradicts the meaning of the festival. The festival of lights is celebrated as festival of noise. Fireworks were used as they gave lights, which were followed by bombs & other crackers which gives 2% light, 48% smoke and 50% noise. It seems like the main intention of celebrating a festival is to trouble people around. Many people have asthma problems; many people mostly due to old age have timid ears and can even get a heart attack after listening the kaboom noise of the crackers. Even during marriages and Ganpati visarjan , traffic jam and making loud noise with weird dances on the streets are common. They don't care if an ambulance have to pass by or if there is hospital in that area.
Indian festivals have now became the best examples of mockery. Festivals are celebrated by troubling other people. Not just Diwali but also Rangapanchami or Holi’s second day, it is celebrated throwing water balloons by crazy people (not just kids, many times grown ups too) on people passing by, making them wet, making their clothes dirty & also sometimes those water balloons if hit on eyes, they even make the people lose their eyes. But these people don’t care and so do the Government & Legal system. India might have a good culure but if it is celebrated this way, it is an example of an uncivilized bunch of animals.
p.s. This diwali its raining so wet road everywhere & no crackers, no noise or air pollution. :D
so, HAPPY DIWALI!!!
god, you sound like an old man XD
ReplyDeletewhy are u being so grumpy & frustrated?

XD
ReplyDeletefuck u!! I m sayin bcoz of personal experience. Yes whn whn we were passing by a person threw cracker on us. I dont complaint for nothing. U r a dumbass who dont care anything abt ppl around u & just say others r complaining. Let me so this 2 u & ur family & thn u reply.
ReplyDeletehahaha...i dont care u say?...XD
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, Diwali comes once a year. If noise pollution is there during the Festival of Lights, it should be welcomed. Old or young, this time of the year is to be celebrated. As I understand, there is a "curfew" for when to do the fireworks. If that can be implemented in a strict manner, it would make sense.
ReplyDeleteAs for the foolish few who like throwing stuff at people, maybe it is best that they are given the same treatment. Immature behavior is in every society. I think you should've called the police on these guys, if not gotten the media involved. But I agree with the other posters on one thing, no need to be grumpy!
@Anonymous: No need to attack people, especially asking them to drown themselves when they have been attacked by bombs.
